I received training in workplace mediation from the Northern Virginia Mediation Service in 2001 and have successfully mediated cases for large and small private organizations, non-profits and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Additional conflict resolution experience includes my service as an Arbitrator with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), including my training and service as a Chairperson.
Approach
I use a facilitative approach where I help parties collaborate in order to: identify and clarify issues, explore creative options for resolving issues, and reach a mutually satisfactory agreement. The parties can be and feel heard and can create their own agreement for moving forward. This process restores harmony, communication and trust to the workplace.
