Approach

Primarily through facilitative mediation, Erica empowers clients to explore options, advocate for their own interests, and make choices from a place of informed consent. Grounded in creative assessments, opportunity identification and generation, and a means of negotiating by exploring and defining interests and making decisions by prioritizing their values, Erica supports participants through the mediation process. This allows the participants to set aside historical relationship conflict dynamics, or conflicting interests or value systems, to more fairly reach agreements which meet the needs and goals of all parties involved. Erica also values being a resource for her clients with referrals to appropriate professionals to assist with context and information to best frame their circumstances and explore options. Such professional referrals include pension attorneys, tax attorneys, CPAs, pediatric psychological, medical, or other professionals for child needs, parenting professionals such as evaluators, coordinators, supervisors, real estate professionals, or certified divorce financial planners. Working with represented parties is also something Erica is highly experienced with, and appreciates the opportunity to have collegial relationships with attorneys already retained by clients or is happy to refer clients to attorneys for guidance.
