Joni Stead, M.A., is the Founder of Anchor Point Resolution, LLC, a private mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practice serving clients throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast, surrounding areas and nationwide through online ADR services.

She holds a Master of Arts degree in Interpersonal Communication and Mediated Communication and brings more than twenty-five years of experience in communication, negotiation, conflict management, and relationship dynamics. Prior to establishing her mediation practice, Joni spent more than twelve years as a college professor teaching interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking, persuasion, argumentation, group communication, and public speaking.

Joni’s mediation approach is facilitative, collaborative, and solutions focused. She believes that durable resolutions are most likely when individuals maintain control over their decisions and work together to identify common interests, improve communication, and explore practical solutions.

Her practice includes estate, trust, and inheritance matters; business and employment conflicts; property and real estate disputes; maritime and occupational matters; family conflicts; and conflict coaching. She provides both in-person mediation and consultation services along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and online ADR services nationwide.

Joni is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) and the National Association for Community Mediation (NAFCM).
