Karen Salib, Esq. is a dedicated family mediator with decades of experience helping families in Pennsylvania and New Jersey navigate divorce, separation, and co-parenting with dignity, clarity, and compassion. As the owner of New Hope Divorce Mediation, she brings a rare combination of deep legal knowledge and a participant-focused approach that empowers couples to create meaningful, lasting agreements—without the cost, stress, and adversarial nature of traditional litigation.
A graduate of Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and the University of Pittsburgh, Karen began her career as a teacher for children with special needs before transitioning into family law. Her time in the Domestic Relations Mediation Clinic of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas sparked her belief that mediation is not just a process for resolving disputes but a way of fostering communication, understanding, and cooperative problem-solving for the future.
Before focusing exclusively on mediation, Karen spent years as a divorce and custody litigator, representing clients in highly complex family law cases. This background gives her a unique perspective when guiding participants through mediation, enabling her to provide practical legal information, unravel complex financial matters, and illuminate the alternatives to court-based resolutions.
Karen has successfully mediated hundreds of family law matters, supervised teams of mediators across five states, and built one of the region’s leading mediation practices. She has trained with CORA Good Shepherd Mediation, Mosten Guthrie Academy, and the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators, and she continues to deepen her expertise through ongoing training and mentorship with leaders in the field.
Beyond her professional life, Karen is a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, an occasional marathon runner, and a proud parent of three spirited daughters, whom she is raising with her husband in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
