As both an attorney and a clinical social worker, I provide divorce and family mediation services. I attempt to bring an understanding of both the legal framework of divorce and the emotional realities families face. Divorce can be an overwhelming and isolating experience. In mediation, families do not have to be alone as they move through this transition, and are provided with a structured and supportive setting in which to work through difficult issues.
I work with parents and couples to navigate the emotional, legal, and financial challenges of separation in a thoughtful and structured way. Mediation offers a private, respectful alternative to adversarial litigation, allowing couples to resolve matters constructively and with greater control over outcomes. I facilitate purposeful discussion to help clients identify issues, clarify priorities, explore options, and make informed decisions that address their present circumstances while providing a blueprint for the future.
The mediation process is designed to support careful consideration of both immediate concerns and long-term implications, helping clients move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Even where communication is difficult, mediation provides a framework for constructive dialogue and problem-solving.
When working with parents, my work is guided by a child-focused approach, assisting them in developing agreements that reflect the best interests of their children while supporting stability, continuity, and effective co-parenting over time.
