About Paul Kovach
The most successful mediations are rarely about finding the perfect legal argument. They are about helping people move beyond conflict and toward practical, lasting solutions.
As a Certified Professional Mediator (CPM), I have successfully mediated more than 400 disputes through the Ada County Courthouse Mediation Program. Working with parties from diverse backgrounds and perspectives has taught me that every dispute has two dimensions—the issues people present and the underlying interests that drive them. My role is to help parties uncover those interests, communicate more effectively, and negotiate resolutions they can live with long after the mediation concludes.
My practice is built on preparation, neutrality, patience, and clear communication. I create an environment where each participant feels heard, respected, and empowered to make informed decisions. Rather than directing outcomes, I guide conversations that allow parties to evaluate options, overcome impasses, and reach agreements that are practical, durable, and their own.
Before entering the field of mediation, I spent more than three decades as a business owner, contractor, and real estate investor. That experience provides valuable insight into the financial, operational, and interpersonal realities that often lie beneath commercial, property, landlord-tenant, HOA, workplace, and business disputes. I understand that conflict rarely exists in isolation—it affects relationships, reputations, and future opportunities.
Clients value my ability to remain calm when discussions become difficult, ask thoughtful questions that uncover common ground, and maintain an atmosphere where productive negotiation can occur. Whether the dispute involves business partners, neighbors, property owners, landlords and tenants, or couples seeking to resolve a divorce without children, my focus remains the same: helping people resolve conflict efficiently, respectfully, and with confidence in the outcome.
I conduct mediations remotely, providing a confidential, convenient, and professional process for clients throughout Idaho and beyond. Every mediation is approached with the belief that lasting agreements are built through informed decision-making, mutual respect, and a process that gives every participant an equal opportunity to be heard.
